Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE)
Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a saturated high polymer material. Its appearance is white powder and
it is poisonless and tasteless. It is also highly resistant to weather, ozone, chemicals, aging, oil and fire
and shows excellent pigmenting property.
It shows high toughness (still flexible at -30℃) and is highly compatible with other high polymer materials.
Its decomposition temperature is relatively high. When decomposed, it generates HCl which can catalyze
the reductive dechlorination of CPE.
Mainly applicable to PVC door and window profiled bar, U-PVCh feed water pipe, drainage pipe, cold
modified line pipe, trunking, PVC foam board, PVC extrusion board, etc.
Technical indexes :
CPE 135A is used for plastics for plastic modification and is obtained via chlorination of special
polyethylene under the action of helium atom. It possesses excellent comprehensive physical
performance, such as high low-temperature toughness, higher tensile strength, great closeness to the
solubility parameter of PVC, and high compatibility. When correct processing condition is given, network
structure will be formed in the interior of hard PVC products, which endows products with excellent
toughness at normal and low temperatures and high shock strength.
The product shall be stored in a dry and ventilated place and shall be away from heat source. Besides, it
shall not be stored in open air, so as to prevent it from moisture.
